Sick of doing the dishes but only have a small amount of room for a new dishwasher? Are you looking to buy a slimline dishwasher or even a bench-top model? You’ve come to the right place.

Realistically, there are not many options for slimline or small dishwashers, however we will show you which ones are available online and exactly how big (well, small) they are.

A standard dishwasher spot is 600mm wide, and most normal dishwashers are 570-600mm in width. A slimline model usually runs about 75% the width of their full-size counterparts.

So what models of slimline dishwashers are available here in Australia?

The price range for a slimline is between $600 and $1100. In a store you’ll be paying about 10%-12% more than online, and slimline dishwashers can be delivered to most areas free of charge. Surprisingly, you can pick up a Stainless Steel model at the lowest end of the range, which will add that bit of sparkle to your kitchen.

The high-end Bosch model is fantastic, it fits a 9 place setting and comes with a full 2 year warranty. Running 2.5 energy star efficiency and 3.0 out of 6 water rating. These might seem like low numbers, but they are “best in class” for a slimline dishwasher model.

Of course, if you have even less than 450mm to install a dishwasher, you can always opt for a single drawer, Fisher and Paykel Dishdrawer model (these are half the height of a normal dishwasher, but still the full width of 600mm).

If you absolutely cannot install anything but still hate doing dishwashers, there’s always the benchtop dishwasher range you can consider.

In Australia there’s only a couple to choose from, but both are very much the same you really only have a choice of white or stainless steel.
